html coding

HTML or Hypertext Markup Language is the current standard for creating web pages on the World Wide Web. HTML has evolved since the early days of its creation. During the early years of the web, most web pages were simple and contained little or no pictures or multimedia. The web was intended for simple information retrieval. Therefore, most web pages were static and plain. But soon, the web grew and people had an urge for something more fancy. Modem speeds have increased dramatically and now the majority of web users are looking for web pages that sparkle. This new fancy look of the web required some major revisions to HTML. The organization responsible for revising and planning the language is the World Wide Web Consortium.

Since HTML is the very foundation for web pages, it is absolutely imperative to know it and know it well. Here are a few examples used to illustrate the uses of HTML.
